Ever since I can remember, I've been a people person.
I even remember being deemed the "social butterfly" at age 5.
Don't get me wrong, I need my alone, quiet time too.
But after I get that I always resurface to where there's people.
I used to think my dream was to move to a secluded mountaintop, and live primarily off the land and have a small farm.
I was sour in my 20's because God didn't seem to be on the same page as me.
Finally around age 35, our family was able to get goats---was my dream finally starting?
When finances forced me to take on a part time job, and we had to let our beautiful goat herd go, I finally began to learn something about myself. Something that God instilled in me, most likely from birth.
It's that I'm meant for so much more then what I realized.
Who would have thought selling goats and a job would bring about an epiphany?
I've also always been a talker.
I can remember people making a big deal about it even when I was a child.
It took me nearly 40 years to come back around to my true self.
But now I'm embracing it. No apologies.
In Romans the Bible speaks of how God has given to each of us gifts.
If you don't know yours I would like to encourage you to FIND OUT HERE.
Knowing your God given gift is life changing.
Mine is to encourage others.
I'm a people person, a realist, and a natural born encourager and talker.
I've been through some pretty tough times.
And I know you have too. I'm not afraid to talk about the troubles in life and deal with them.
The only thing that I fear is superficial phoniness that tries to hide them.
I'm currently in a unique phase of life that not a lot of people get to experience. Not many people are 40 and raising teens PLUS toddlers, so I have a unique vantage point! I've seen mountains turned to molehill's just by prayer, and so I blog because perhaps in sharing the big and small moments in this journey, as well as solutions to problems I encounter along the way, I can encourage and inspire others.
